Self-driving cars, 3D printers or humanoid robots – innovations like these make the IT industry one of the fastest growing branches of industry at the moment. However, automation in the economy would also endanger numerous existing jobs, say the authors of a new study by the World Economic Forum in Davos. According to this, five million jobs in the industrialized countries will be lost in the next five years.
